Automatically provision, update and deprovision users in 8&#215;8 from 黑料海角91入口 using the Identity Management (SCIM) integration. Leverage this integration to centralize user lifecycle, user identity, and group management in 黑料海角91入口 for 8&#215;8. Save time and avoid mistakes, as well as potential security risks, related to manually creating users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Read this article to learn how to setup the 8&#215;8 integration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Prerequisites<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>A 黑料海角91入口 Administrator account.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>黑料海角91入口 SSO Package or higher or SSO \u00e0 la carte option.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A 8&#215;8 user account with administrator permissions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Your 8&#215;8 domain name.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Important Considerations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>If users\u2019 emails are used by both 黑料海角91入口 and 8&#215;8 (as their account usernames), then the administrator should choose&nbsp;<strong>8&#215;8 Username<\/strong>&nbsp;as the&nbsp;<strong>User Mapping Field<\/strong>&nbsp;while configuring. However, if these two values for individual users do not match, the administrator should choose&nbsp;<strong>Federation ID<\/strong>&nbsp;as the&nbsp;<strong>User Mapping Field<\/strong>&nbsp;and follow these steps (after configuring 8&#215;8 SSO) to map 8&#215;8 user accounts to their corresponding 黑料海角91入口 accounts:\n<ul>\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>Accounts.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>User Profiles.<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>For any user who will be attempting SSO, update the 8&#215;8 user profile by inputting the email used by his or her 黑料海角91入口 account in the&nbsp;<strong>Federation ID<\/strong>&nbsp;field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>&nbsp;and repeat for all users attempting SSO.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8&#215;8 SCIM API is based on version 2.0 of the&nbsp;SCIM standard.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Deletion of a user is not supported. The SCIM DELETE operation will result in the user being deactivated.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8&#215;8 User schema URN is <kbd>urn:ietf:params:scim:schemas:extension:8&#215;8:1.1:User<\/kbd>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The API does not support assignment of licenses, cost center or user profile, setting of work phone number, update to site once set, and setting of profile picture.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Some fields set through the SCIM API can be subsequently modified in 8&#215;8 Admin Console. Depending on your SCIM implementation this may lead to some inconsistency between your Identity Management System and 8&#215;8 Admin Console<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Modification of fields other than&nbsp;<kbd>active<\/kbd>&nbsp;is not supported with the PATCH operation. Use PUT instead.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The fields in 8&#215;8 Admin Consoles for the users which are provisioned through SCIM API, are read only and can be changed only via the IdP.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If a\u00a0<strong>Login ID is already in use<\/strong>\u00a0error occurs when trying to sync,\u00a0delete any existing users created from the 8&#215;8 Admin Console and recreate them in 黑料海角91入口.\u00a0黑料海角91入口 SCIM management of 8&#215;8 Admin Console users requires that users be created in 黑料海角91入口 first, and then synced to 8&#215;8 Admin Console.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you need to update your token, you must\u00a0<a href=\"#to-deactivate-the-idm-integration\">deactivate the IdM integration<\/a>, update the token, and then reactivate the IdM integration.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Groups are not supported.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"attribute-considerations\"><strong>Attribute Considerations<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>A default set of attributes are managed for users. See the&nbsp;<a href=\"#attribute-mappings\">Attribute Mappings<\/a>&nbsp;section for more details.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The userName attribute also sets the user\u2019s Federation ID (used for Single Sign-On) on create only.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The following custom attributes are not supported by 黑料海角91入口:\n<ul>\n<li>site<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>extension<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-creating-a-new-jumpcloud-application-integration\"><strong>Creating a new 黑料海角91入口 Application Integration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">黑料海角91入口 Admin Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to\u00a0<strong>USER AUTHENTICATION\u00a0<\/strong>&gt;\u00a0<strong>SSO<\/strong> <strong>Applications<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>+&nbsp;Add New Application<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Type the name of the application in the <strong>Search <\/strong>field and select it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In the <strong>Display Label<\/strong>, type your name for the application. Optionally, you can enter a <strong>Description<\/strong>, adjust the User Portal Image and choose to hide or <strong>Show in User Portal<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card note\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/note-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Note:<\/strong> \n<p>If this is a Bookmark Application, enter your sign-in URL in the <strong>Bookmark URL<\/strong> field.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"7\">\n<li>Optionally, expand <strong>Advanced Settings<\/strong> to specify a value for the<strong> SSO IdP URL<\/strong>. If no value is entered, it will default to <kbd>https:\/\/sso.jumpcloud.com\/saml2\/&lt;applicationname&gt;<\/kbd>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card warning\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/warning-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Warning:<\/strong> \n<p>The <strong>SSO IdP URL<\/strong> is not editable after the application is created. You will have to delete and recreate the connector if you need to edit this field at a later time.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"8\">\n<li>Click <strong>Save Application<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If successful, click:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Configure Application<\/strong> and go to the next section <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Close<\/strong> to configure your new application at a later time <\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Configuring the SSO Integration<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To configure 黑料海角91入口<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li><a href=\"#creating-a-new-jumpcloud-application-integration\">Create a new application<\/a>&nbsp;or select it from the&nbsp;<strong>Configured Application<\/strong>s list.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the&nbsp;<strong>SSO<\/strong>&nbsp;tab.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Replace any instances of YOURDOMAIN with your 8&#215;8 domain name.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add or change any additional attributes.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Download the certificate<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Find&nbsp;your application in the&nbsp;<strong>Configured Applications<\/strong>&nbsp;list and click anywhere in the row to reopen its configuration window.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the <strong>SSO <\/strong>tab and click <strong>IDP Certificate Valid &gt; Download certificate<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-cgb-notification-card-wysiwyg notification-card tip\"><div class=\"notification-card-content\"><div class=\"notification-card-icon\"><p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/themes\/jumpcloud\/assets\/images\/gutenberg-blocks\/tip-icon.png\" \/><\/p><\/div><div class=\"notification-card-copy is-type-body-default\"><div><strong class=\"notification-card-type\">Tip:<\/strong> \n<p>The certificate.pem will download to your local <strong>Downloads<\/strong> folder.<\/p>\n <\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To configure 8&#215;8<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Login to 8&#215;8, Inc. as a user with administrative rights.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Navigate to&nbsp;<strong>ACCOUNTS &gt; Single Sign On<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the&nbsp;<strong>Single Sign On<\/strong>&nbsp;checkbox.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the&nbsp;<strong>SAML<\/strong>&nbsp;radio button.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>OK <\/strong>when the Success message displays.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>On the SAML Sign on configuration page, enter the following information:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Sign In URL<\/strong> &#8211; enter the 黑料海角91入口 <strong>IDP URL<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Issuer URL<\/strong> &#8211; enter the 黑料海角91入口 <strong>IdP Entity ID<\/strong> (<kbd>https:\/\/&lt;YOURDOMAIN&gt;.com<\/kbd>).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Identity Provider Certificate<\/strong> &#8211; browse to the certificate downloaded in the previous section.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"authorizing-user-sso-access\"><strong>Authorizing User SSO Access<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Users are implicitly denied access to applications. After you connect an application to 黑料海角91入口, you need to authorize user access to that application. You can authorize user access from the <strong>Application Configuration<\/strong> panel or from the <strong>Groups Configuration<\/strong> panel.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>To authorize user access from the Application Configuration panel<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the <a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/console.jumpcloud.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">黑料海角91入口 Admin Portal<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Go to <strong>USER AUTHENTICATION &gt; SSO<\/strong> <strong>Applications<\/strong>, then select the application to which you want to authorize user access.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the <strong>User Groups<\/strong> tab. (e.g.,\u00a0<kbd>https:\/\/platform-cloud.8&#215;8.com\/udi\/customers\/&lt;CUSTOMER_ID&gt;\/scim\/v2<\/kbd>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Token Key<\/strong>: Paste the&nbsp;<strong>8&#215;8<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>API Token<\/strong>&nbsp;you generated when configuring 8&#215;8.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You will receive a confirmation that the Identity Management integration has been successfully verified.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>You can now connect user groups to the application in 黑料海角91入口 to provision the members of that group in 8&#215;8.
