This policy controls access to the Shutdown, Restart, Sleep, and Power Off options at the login window and in the Apple menu. Hiding the power controls can prevent users from accidentally restarting or shutting down, for example, while they are actively using the device.
To create a Power Controls policy for Mac:
- Log in to the ºÚÁϺ£½Ç91Èë¿Ú Admin Portal:.
- Go to DEVICE MANAGEMENT > Policy Management.
- In the All tab, click (+).
- On the New Policy panel, select the Mac tab.
- Select the Power Controls policy from the list, then click configure.
- Under Settings, select Disable Shutting Down The Machine From The Login Window to hide the Shutdown button on the login window.
- Select Disable Restarting The Machine From The Login Window to hide the Restart button on the login window.
- Select Disable Putting The Machine To Sleep From The Login Window to hide the Sleep button on the login window.
- Select Disable Shutdown While Logged In to hide the Shutdown button when a user is already logged in.
- Select Disable Restarting The Machine While Logged In to hide theRestart button on when a user is already logged in.
- Select Disable Logout While Logged In to hide the Logout button when a user is already logged in.
- (Optional) Select the Device Groups tab. Select one or more device groups where you'll apply this policy. For device groups with multiple OS member types, the policy is applied only to the supported OS.
- (Optional) Select the Devices tab. Select one or more devices where you'll apply this policy.
- Click save.
- For changes to take effect, log out and then log back in to the ºÚÁϺ£½Ç91Èë¿Ú Admin Portal.
